Koolest Skool NSW 2015 Award goes to Mackellar Girls Campus !

Congratulations go to Mackellar Girls Campus who have been named Koolest Skool for 2015 at the NSW Kool Skools Awards held last Sunday 22nd November at the St Andrews College Hall. Mackellar have been in the project six times now and teacher jack Kirkpatrick has been in charge of the Kool Skools project as part of music at Mackellar for the past 3 years. This year their album came together with an amazing group of original acts and their songs. Some of the Award winners were Singer-Songwriter Erin Finlay who took two awards including Best Female Vocal, Singer-Songwriters Lydia Riccione-Brown and Joy Van Schie were also recognised and took home awards for Mackellar. The whole Awards Showcase was full of talent and the quality of performances was one of the best ever.

The Koolest Skool for VIC 2015 is Mill Park Secondary College!

Congratulations go to Mill Park SC who have been named Koolest Skool for 2015 at the VIC Kool Skools Awards held last Saturday 14th November at the George Wood PAC. Mill Park have been a major player in the Kool Skools Project having recorded albums each year since 2004, this was their 11th album and it gained the success thanks to a good mix of artists and original songs. Some of the Award winners were the band Whole Bottle Full, Singer Songwriter Rebecca Techer, Duet Tristan & Talisa, Daniel Cropley for Best EDM Track and Final Moments who were awarded Best Hip Hop Track.

2015 VIC Awards Nights a Huge Success – see the winners and photos from the night.

Saturday Night was a huge success for the 19th annual Kool Skools Awards in Victoria held at the George Wood PAC in Ringwood. Mill Park SC was awarded the “Koolest Skool” honour for 2015, for the schools 11th album as part of the project. 30 other awards were given out and 18 acts performed live on the night. The JB HiFi Kool Skools Prizes were awarded to Rebecka Clarke from Shepparton and Cooper Lower from Warrnambool. Three special 10th anniversary frames were awarded to the projects who had reached the 10 year mark including Albury City Youth, Hobsons Bay Youth and in Mill Park SC’s case a special 11 album celebration frame.

Lots of great original music was celebrated by all involved.
